Wheel Classes

Beginning & Intermediate Wheel
Designed for those individuals who want to experience clay; for those beginners who want to expand their experience, or for those who are ready for a refresher.
This class includes an introduction to the potter's wheel, focusing on wedging, shaping, trimming, simple glazing techniques, and studio safety.  Aesthetic consideration will also be discussed.

Beginners are welcome in the Beginning and Intermediate classes.  We'll go over all the basics for new students, with lots of individual attention in the first sessions.  We'll also demonstrate more advanced techniques for the seasoned students.  It's a great mix.

Typically, students take this class more than once before they are comfortable moving on to the next level.
We want you to learn what it takes to throw a pot, but it's just as important to us that you have a good experience.

No prior art experience is required. Demonstrations, group discussions. One-to-one attention will be given to each student.

Includes 25 lbs. clay, class glaze, and oxidation firing.
Open Lab is also included at no additional charge.
Tools are extra, if you need them.  A basic kit costs $17.95
$240 for eight week session
